The late Anne Fenn - Starbeck - is still probably the most famous Griffon affix world-wide. Sadly, she died in 2000 soon after making up her 29th Champion. Starbecks are still in pedigrees today and were the foundation stock of many of today’s kennels.

The late Mr and Mrs Davies - Burwardsley - responsible for breeding the foundation stock of many kennels including Jaydean and Marquant.

The late Beryl Newitt - Debmar - was always willing to sell promising stock to others. Breeder and exhibitor of quite a few champions.
Barbara Murray - Operastar - famous for her very typical red, smooths. Owned and showed Ch Beauview Brave as a Blizzard, Black and Tan smooth, with huge success (21CCs).
Mary Ann Mercer - Fennymore - A very established, successful breeder and exhibitor with over 35 Champions, BOB at Crufts four times and many Group wins and placings including BIS U.K. Toy. Top winning kennels of yesteryear laid the foundations, this along with kennels of today being carefully included in the current breeding programme results in continued success.
Alison Price - Marquant - Huge success as a breeder and exhibitor. Bred the Breed Record Holders ( Black, Rough) - Ch Marquant Will Smith and Ch Marquant The Dream Girl. The Marquant affix is now in the safe hands of her daughter Ffion Price.
The late Samantha Burr - Liamford - The Griffon world was saddened by the early death of Alison Price’s daughter. A successful breeder in her own right, particularly blacks
Neil Swan - Dorelove - breeder of Dorelove Jimmy Mac , breed record holder with 57 CCs and many groups to his credit.
Howard Ogden - Beauview - owner as a teenager of Ch.Hunters Melody of Gregtoi and breeder of many Champions both in the U.K. and overseas. Instrumental in the renaissance of the Black and Tan and taking advantage of bloodlines from overseas.
Stephen Bardwell - Stewell
David Guy - Donzeata - Currently flys the Griffon flag in the ‘Big Ring’ winning many Groups and several BISs at General Championship Shows. Breeder and owner of the bitch CC, record holder with- Ch Donzeata Royal Tapestry (Red,Smooth) with 34CCs and the bitch CC record holder with Ch Donzeata Royal Attraction ( Red, Rough) with 28 CCs.
Denise Barney- Cilleine - shares this affix with her sister, Steph Chapman. Much success during the 2000s and to date, including the first and only black, smooth Ch. In U.K. history.
James Finlay - Gilderoak - this breeder and exhibitor keeps Griffons to the fore in Scotland. He continues to have much success both north and south of the border.
Mark Selby and David Roberts - Zilcan - current top breeders with Champions in both red ( rough and smooth) and Black & Tan. The Foundation bitch Beauview Strike A Light bred to top quality dogs started this successful kennel.
Espen Engh - Jet’s (Norway) - With 15 homebred champions, Jet’s is the top overseas Champion producing kennel in the U.K. of all breeds and of all time.
