GBBA Championship show 3rd of May 2026
I was truly honored to be invited to judge at your championship show and for such a fantastic entry, thanks to the committee for this dream assignment. I would also like to thank Julien, my extraordinary steward who kept the whole day running smooth.
I had been looking forward to seeing all the dogs and get the chance to get my hands on them. The overall quality was high, and I’m impressed with all my class winners. In the finals at the end of the day the bitches excelled in their attitude, putting on a great show and ended as both BIS and reserve.
Baby puppy dog
Balthazar Fernando at Fennymore at just 4 months old this red rough boy shows a promising future. He is short and square with a super topline and tailset. Great bone and standing well with one foot in each corner. Nice wide underjaw and turnup. Promising coat with a lovely red jacket. Best baby puppy
Beauborne Yogi also four months old, very well developed, slightly longer in proportions compared to the winner. A bit longer nose but with good turnup and a very nice underjaw. Lovely red smooth boy showing well both standing and moving.
Baby puppy bitch
Balthazar There She Goes 4 months old very well developed red rough bitch. She is already cobby and shows a lovely outline, with a nice set of tail. She moves really well when she settled. She is still developing in her head but showing a promising future.
Balthazar Centrefold sister to the winner, she is very similar, well developed body and a eye catching outline. She stands on strong bones and moved out well. Slightly less developed in the head compared to the winner.
Veteran dog
Dk / Nor I'm Your Man Unlimited 9 years old, short and compact bt smooth that still looks like a youngster, moving out well in all directions and always holding his topline. Big enough head with a good nose placement and small well carried ears. Great rear angulations, kept in great condition.
CH Harpersband Case In Point at Balthazar very eye catching 10 year old boy looking picture perfect standing. I would like a little less of him but he is full of qualities. Big head with a nice nose placement and big round eyes. Strong bone, masculine and kept in lovely condition. Just showing a bit of age in his rear movement.
Minor puppy dog
Tsarvonn Late Night Party Promising puppy with a great frame to develop in. Short and square, moving out well in all directions with the typical attitude. Cheeky expression with a good turn up and expressive eyes. Promising coat. BPIS
Aptrick Harry Beau Well bodied puppy boy with a great attitude. He is slightly longer in his nose and he needs time to stabilize his front action.
Puppy dog
Cyril Cloister Atison's Legacy avec Stormjac beautiful big head with a great expression. Big nose sitting well in line with the eyes and a nice turnup. Great black colour and already nice rough coat. He is full of himself which I really like in this age. Still needs time to develop in body but he has a great frame and showing well at all times.
Aptrick Harry Beau Well bodied puppy boy with a great attitude. He is slightly longer in his nose and he needs time to stabilize his front action.
Junior dog
Zilcan Captain Caveman young dog with really nice proportions and already a well developed body giving him a lovely outline. Nice head, well carried ears and a good underjaw. A little straight in his nose at the moment. Moving with great reach and drive from the side, shown in excellent coat and a lovely red colour.
Cilleine Last Wicket for Sparlero lovely size and proportions. He has a beautiful head and expression, lovely small ears and a nicely laid back nose. He has a great frame but still needs time to mature in body compared to the winner.
Yearling dog
Marquant Remember Me this dog really caught my eye when he stood in the lineup. He has a great short body, strong topline and well carried tail. Well developed head, nicely placed nose and expressive eyes giving him a beautiful expression. Deep red rough coat in perfect condition. Showing himself at all times with his typical breed temperament made it close in the challenge, I would love to see him again when he has matured even more.
Marquant New Order truly cobby, lovely face and expression. Small, well carried ears and expressive eyes. A little short in neck, strong topline and well placed tail. A bit soft coat at the moment.
Post graduate dog
Kahraman Daydreamer Darwin for Rhodon A very well developed male shown in a nice tight jacket, a little lighter in colour. He has a nice skull and the best width of underjaw, giving him a very nice expression. A little bigger ears. Strong neck that could be longer, firm topline and well carried tail. A very balanced griffon without exaggerations.
Osthaen Master Of The Scene nice proportions and showing himself with great attitude. Moving well in all directions, really using his angulations to his advantage. Just a little longer in nose and I would have wanted smaller ears.
Limit dog
Pierre Cardin Bargest Vonici very nice male with short and firm topline, enough bone for his size. Giving a lovely outline both in standing and moving. Would love to see a bit more body and width but it will come with age. Head with the right details and neat ears.
Serperior For Marquant Semper Hilaris ( Imp POL) a very sound male, slightly longer in his proportions. Well developed head, just a little light in nosepigment for the day. Moving so well in all directions, easily covering ground without any exaggerations.

Stormjac Spocktacular Nite this solid black dog really caught my eye. At 9,5 years old he didn’t even have a single grey hair. His head is just outstanding, broad, big and masculine with a big nosepad perfectly aligned with his eyes. Small, well carried ears and big expressive dark eyes. Truly cobby with great bones, solid topline and well carried tale. The absolute best of colors and coat. In the challenge he showed even better with his handler and I was pleased to give him the CC and BOS later in the day.
Aptrick Arcturus nice model, good proportions with a beautiful head and expression. Great black color. Would prefer a stronger topline. Moving well from the side but a little unstable in his front action.

Osthaen A Kind Of Magic lovely smooth bt with great proportions and size. Lovely head, good width of underjaw and small, neat ears. Super topline and tailset. Well developed body and good bone, moving soundly in all directions. Loved to go over him on the table. Sweet temperament but didn’t put his best foot forward in the challenge. Happy to give him R-CC for all his qualities.

Zilcan Helios avec Castafiore striking male in profile with a lovely head and beautiful expression. Good width of underjaw and a really nice turn-up. Strong neck, firm topline and correct tailset. Lovely red color, truly sound in his movement. I would prefer more body at this age to be more cobby.
Veteran bitch
CH Cobblehill Gucci with Beauborne this striking bt rough veteran made me smile. She has so much of what I’m looking for. Great bone, cobby body with a super outline. She has a beautiful face, good turn up in the underjaw and perfect tan markings. Moving out well and showing herself. When given to her handler she excelled in performance which made me happy to give her BVIS.
CH Flirt Alert Unlimited at Stormjac another lovely veteran. She has a lovely body, truly cobby and with great bone. Beautiful head and expression. It was a hard choice to even place them, both in great condition and a credit to their owners.
Minor puppy bitch
Marquant Gambit loved this young bitch, she is so full of attitude! She has a great frame to develop in, short and square. Super head and cheeky expression with small well carried ears. She owned the ring at all times and her attitude just made her excel. With time she will be one to watch.
Zilcan Smashed It another promising puppy, such a pretty head and expression, great turnup and noseplacement. She really has a bright future, just not the same attitude and drive as the winner today.

Beauborne What's On at Tremaloy striking youngster, lovely frame and proportions. Small, short and with great bone. Nice head with big round eyes, well laid-back nose and neat ears. She shows herself all the time with a great attitude. The best of coats and lovely tan markings. BOS-puppy
Osthaen Scarlett Syphony Nice model with a well-developed body, a little longer in her proportions than the winner. Promising head that’s still developing. Moving well and showing a great future.
Junior bitch
Fennymore Drama Puss caught my eye from the moment she entered the ring. Short, cobby and full of attitude. She has great bone, solid topline and a perfect tailset. Big round eyes, neat ears and good underjaw. Shown in perfect coat condition. Moving out well and really showing great reach and drive. Glad to award her R-CC and later R-BIS.
Bjulaseta Honey Spring a very sound smooth female. Sweet face and expression, well marked underjaw with good width. Very well angulated both front and rear giving her sound movement with lots of reach and drive.
Yearling bitch
Balthazar Hello C'est Moi lovely balanced young bitch with the sweetest temperament. Very sound in construction without any exaggeration. Nice bone and well developed body, moving well from all sides showing true Griffon attitude.
Post graduate bitch
Delightbull Come On Eileen cobby, excellent size and proportions. Big enough eyes, excellent angulations and moving with a lot of drive. Shown in excellent coat and with typical Griffon attitude.
Osthaen I'm Your Fantasy excellent type with a lovely chest. Cobby and well bodied, sweet expression with big round eyes but could have a little more turnup. Moving well from all sides, always holding her topline and tail.
Limit bitch
Delightbull Lady In Red excellent type, nice outline and proportions. Balanced angulations and very sound in construction. Beautiful head and a cheeky expression. Showed great attitude and moving out well.
Fennymore Annie Power lots to like about her, great bone and a lovely outline. Holding her topline at all times and with a great tail. Would prefer more laid back nose. Showing well but a little unsettled in movement and showing a little white in the eyes.

Stormjac Black Pearl For Es solid, strong, cobby bitch in lovely condition for her age. Large skull with good width and big round eyes. Lovely silhouette standing, shown in harsh well groomed coat.
Aptrick Gateau Noir very feminine bitch, excellent proportions and a great size. Sweet temperament. Not striding out in front as well as in rear.
Special open black/tan bitch
Movalian Diamond In The Dark just as sweet as they can be in this baby age. She has lovely bones, great size and excellent proportions. Beautifull color with correct markings. Could have a little more underjaw. Very promising future ahead for this little girl.
Stormjac Norse Pixie Magic nice size and excellent proportions. Lovely topline and tail set with enough angulations. A little soft coat on the head but harsh on the body. Naughty temperament and decides herself when she wants to walk or stand.

CH Beauborne Pussycat Doll high quality bitch with the most beautiful head and expression. Nose in line with eyes and small well carried ears. Well layed back nose giving her a beautiful profile. Great size and proportions, strong topline and well set tail. Lovely red short coat with great pigmentation. Standing on a loose leash at all times just showing all her qualities. Happy to award her CC and later BIS.
Sabai Crysanthemum Good modell, solid head with good width of underjaw. Well developed chest, a little longer in her proportions and not in her best shape but a sound up to size bitch.
